Summary[]
World Market of Sex (1979) (original title: Mundo-Mercado do Sexo) is a Brazilian crime drama film by José Mojica Marins[1][2][3].
Plot[]
World Market of Sex tells the story of Mauro, a reporter from a major newspaper in São Paulo, who has 24 hours to find a big story for the front page. If he can do this, it will guarantee money for his poor family. Mauro hits the streets in search of a headline, but everywhere he goes, everything is normal and nothing special happens ... That is, until he leaves. Unbeknownst to Mauro, even a story about a simple beggar could become a great headline if Mauro only stayed for a few more moments to investigate. In despair, Mauro heads home with no headlines, no relevant news, and no entries in his notebook. But little does he know that when he gets home, he will find himself "at the right place at the right time" for that big story that he has been searching for...
